How to become a member and borrow books at the library
Everyone can register as a member at Biblioteket Frederiksberg. If you're under 18, you need a parent or a guardian to register you as a member. As a member at the library you can
- borrow our materials and use our free online services
- access the library in the unstaffed opening hours using your library card and your pin.
Adults (18+)
If you have MitID, you can register online.
Register with MitID
If you do not have MitID, you need to register in person at the main library or the library at Nordens Plads.
You must present valid ID: yellow card and a passport, ID-card or drivers license.
As an adult you use your yellow card / CPR to use the library.
Children (17 and younger)
You need a parent or guardian with MitID to register you as a member using the form below.

How to borrow books and other materials
Once registered as a member, you may borrow our selection of books, music, magazines and more for both children and adults.
2 ways to borrow books:
- find and order the books online via the national Danish database bibliotek.dk or with the app 'Biblioteket' and pick them up at your chosen location at the Public Library of Frederiksberg.
- visit the library, where we will assist you. All titles in other languages are at the Main Library.
